WHAT ARE THE 7 HABITS TO ADOPT IN YOUR 20S?
Read A Book, Sir.
if you aren’t a reader then this habit might seem a little hard to adopt. For many people, reading is a habit they developed over time however the right books can help you to fall in love with reading books and instantly make you passionate about reading your suited genre. From fantasy, young adult, biography to self-help, self-taught and more categories to choose from.
Ask yourself “what inspires me the most?” and start reading about whatever your answer is of that question. As a famous quote goes “knowledge only makes you wiser “ and we agree to that. Reading books sharpen your mind, enhance your knowledge, entertain you, and gives you clarity on life through reading the different minds of people.
Create Your Opportunities.
In our mid-20s, the urge to make a change in our life is very substantial and so we are waiting for the opportunity to arrive at our doorstep. But What if they don’t arrive? We simply can’t wait instead we need to create our own opportunities through hard work and passion. It’s time to go out there and build opportunities for ourselves. with enough knowledge, courage and a plan of action, you can grab those opportunities.
Remember, if you fail in your initial attempts, that’s how you become successful. By failing until we can’t fail anymore.
all I am saying is “don’t wait for the opportunity to knock on your door” instead create opportunities for someone out there to work with you.
Lose the FOMO.
when your friends or family, are having an exceptional time but you are indecisive whether to focus on the work and get things done or to go out and join with them.
Firstly, friends and parties are fine but not when you need to be focused and productive in your life & career.
I am sure you have had your share of drunk nights and bad hangovers the same way I did However life needs to change as we transform into a better version of ourselves. Everyone has to grow out of this phase to accomplish and fulfil their goals.
Appreciate your quality time with yourself because it’s very valuable. You have nothing to compare or to lose if you simply utilize your present moment. From my experience, when you’ll choose your work and career over drunk parties and holidays, You will be at peace and grow as a person which will bring you one step closer to success.
Make time for Yourself.
The Mid 20s is not about working all the time even though you hate your job. We can be a bit rough on ourselves by pushing our own wrong buttons and then wondering why we aren’t happy? If we are spending most of our time in a job we don’t like then how will be happy?
It’s important to give yourself time and space to evaluate your goals, your love life. Is it leading where you want it to go? can you invest a little more in your personal relationships? spend time with yourself to check in. Do more things that you enjoy. Taking care of yourself physically and mentally is our responsibility and important to live contentful life.
Kill the Toxicity.
My favourite one. We know now that toxicity has no gender because it’s not just men who can be toxic but women as well in friendships, family relationships, and sometimes even we could be toxic. If you find yourself distracted thinking about someone or someplace that no longer serves you, let it go.
The anxiety we feel in toxic relationships whether it’s friendship or relationship can eat away our emotional and mental health. Not receiving what we deserve or doubtful intentions of such people leave us feeling unfulfilled. The friend or someone who has never been there when you needed them, it’s time to let them go and choose yourself.
The people who would rather judge your circumstances than understand them? It’s TIME TO LET GO because toxicity has no place in our lives and definitely not in our mid-20s.
Re-Discover Yourself.
when someone gifts us out of love, do we love it right? well, I certainly do. In the same way, As you put in the hard work, and efforts to reach your goal then it’s important from time to time, take a break to reconnect with yourself. ,
Plan for the holidays in a location where you always have wanted to go but failed because of some reason or another. It could be nearby or far,2 days trip or 7. The point is to enjoy and travel as travelling is a great way to relearn things. Pick out the destination, retreat centre or perhaps a festival that you wanted to attend.
Stay Positive.
Every day is a new beginning and every day is different from others. Somedays, we shine so bring and feel our amazing self but some days we’ll feel low. That’s the very nature of life. the ups and downs. Despite the low moments, we can still stay highly positive and caring.
When you put yourself out there in the real world, rejection is a part of life. it’s very important not to take every failure, effort to your heart instead try harder the next time with new learned experience.
when you understand yourself, respect yourself and appreciate yourself after accepting your weaknesses, you become self-aware and the amount of love that will flow within will put you in a brighter and positive place.
THANK YOU guys for your time in this post. I would appreciate it if you have ideas or feedback that you would like to share with me.
